Hi viz - check, helmet - check. What more do you want, drivers?
I think the next-most galling bit is the way the silver car passes the incident, it's 99.99% that they saw it, and drives on.
The Private Eye roads column made this point before Christmas, we're building roads and bridges, etc that we don't have the resources to maintain in the future.

Multimillion-pound improvements to a busy motorway junction have made no difference, unhappy residents claim.
People living close to the junction 10 roundabout, on the M6 in Walsall, said they believed a £78m scheme to cut congestion had been a waste of money.
"They have not achieved anything other than making four lanes on a roundabout that still get clogged up anyway."

Hereford e-scooter riders are fined by magistrates
Great to see the police and courts getting a firm grip on these offenders - why, there could be 4 or 5 fatalities every day if these were allowed to run riot.

File under that special category where the defence makes it ever clearer that the acccused really should not be driving.
Driver who caused crash claimed car keys stolen in mugging
Michael Bond, 29, reported the keys to his Audi had been stolen when he was the victim of a street robbery in King’s Lynn.
Matt Diss, mitigating, said he had been injured in another road accident two months before and had subsequently contracted meningitis that had caused memory loss.
“In the last 12 months the impact of this has been huge and speaks to his state of mind at the time,” he said.

Not all bad news then! At least there's 1 fewer of those dangerous nutter self-driving vehicles 'on the road'.
Demonstrating that at least 79 people think that road signs are for other people...
The Good Place, a TV show. I think. A forking good sitcom.
I like the way they say, 'Warning - the image further down this story contains offensive language,' when it's the same image as at the top of the article. I was looking forward to seeing some much worse language, given that there was no warning about the original image.
Not far away on the A518 in Telford, 2 speed cameras at Trench Lock Interchange in Telford have captured nearly 12,000 speeding shitheads during 2023.
I'll be using Trench Lock in a couple of hours on the way to my MIL..... not my idea. I won't be speeding (I got my first and so far only speeding ticket a mile from their in Hadley, just after they had changed the road by the old football ground...GKN Sankey FC... from a 40 to a 30. It taught me a lession!)
The point of this post is to comment: "Only 12 000....?" People use it like a race track in order to get into the A442 towards the town cente. Time to double the number of camera and increase the fines!
Ah, the "I've got no choice" driver refrain.
A man has been charged after police stopped a suspect riding an e-scooter on the M5
Police and courts essentially impotent in such cases and known to be so. He's not going to be bothered by the points on the licence he may not have, or any unenforced driving ban, and he'll soon get over the loss of the scooter by getting another one. The only penalty that would work is the big fine which isn't going to be imposed. Little wonder that all varieties of motoring offences appear to be increasing. Crisis. What crisis?
It is an Abbot 105mm self propelled gun. That means it is an artillery piece not a tank. AFV433 to give it it's full title.
Great to see the police and courts getting a firm grip on these offenders
Agreed! hanging is too good for these people bringing carnage to the roads! Meanwhile, respectable motor vehicle drivers are unfairly preyed-upon by unscrupulous sneaks for only doing what everyone does- fortunately, our brave lads know exactly what to do with reports obtained by such underhand means as walking about with a camera: Bin them! Bin them! Bin them!

For some reason, the video of Hartley Transport and Training of Lancaster HGV D16 GHT crossing a red light hasn't yet appeared on UpRide, so this is the scene when the light changed to amber- you know that bit about "AMBER means ‘Stop’ at the stop line. You may go on only if the AMBER appears after you have crossed the stop line or are so close to it that to pull up might cause an accident"
I wonder how many don't you know there's a cost of living crisis hard pressed hard working drivers have written off their car trying to tackle flood water in the past week?
You need to get down to Kings Heath

Last-minute gift for that Audi or BMW driver
