Car crashes into building - please post your Local news stories
Running this one up the flagpole to see who salutes...
I just don't remember this being a thing until recently, now it seems a daily occurrence.
Could it be that there are drivers not up to the job, too many cars; should houses be made to ride in single file, shops put on high viz, why are we putting newer buildings in danger like this, it's irresponsible.

'A Dorset Police spokesperson said: "Dorset Police was called at 12.48pm on Thursday, August 13, to a report of a collision involving a car and a wall outside Iceland on Poole Road in Bournemouth.
"It is reported that the vehicle was also in collision with a pedestrian, but they did not require medical treatment." '

The heavily intoxicated 54-year-old crashed her Fiat 500 into a bin and a curb [sic] when she arrived at about 10pm on Tuesday (24 October) – and narrowly avoided hitting a lamppost.

Just been reading about the latest Just Stop Oil protest having a premium police response - "Posting on X, formerly known as Twitter, the Met said its officers had arrived within four minutes of receiving a report of the protest and began making arrests. I was intrigued as why section 7 of the Public Order Act 2023, which bans any act “which interferes with the use or operation of any key national infrastructure in England and Wales” isn't used to immediately arrest drivers who crash and block roads etc.

So he was driving a BMW X5 which is the size of a house, was three times over the limit and this was the second time he got caught and he gets....

He was ordered to pay £135 costs and a £114 surcharge. His ban will be reduced by a quarter if he completes a drink-drivers' rehabilitation course."
So basically a slap on the wrist. He will do it again...and again...and again. Next time, he should go to jail for a spell and never get his licence back.
On a less ranty note, I do love one of the comments below the piece: "" It became apparent he was under the influence of alcohol. Officers could smell alcohol on his breath and he had been using his indicators".... School boy error that for any BMW driver. I am surprised he knew where they were.... it took me years to find them on my car!

That kind of crash and damage would make sense if they were speeding, so maybe they need their licence revoked as the universe is sending a clear sign that they weren't in control.
Shurely he could just self-medicate?
It's always the cars.. never the car pilots doing the crashing.
The poor driver, getting caught like that.. this must be subversive part of the #waronmotorsts we're being told about. Be vigilant people and remember you drive how you like to drive and hang the weather conditions!
